Delaware and Otsego County in  New York and Wayne County in Pennsylvania are among areas to the east of Binghamton that are still expecting snow, wind and blowing snow from winter storm Juneau.

A Winter Weather Advisory remained in effect for those counties for January 27.

Meanwhile, Southern Tier and Central New York Travel is being impacted.

Not only are there road closures and speed restrictions on highways to the east and south, tractor trailer drivers are running into restrictions as they try to do their work. Certain trucks including tandem trailers and some empty rigs are being told to stay off the New York or Pennsylvania Thruways.

PennDOT says reduced speeds may also be placed on major interstates in the storm area.

Many flights through the Greater Binghamton Airport had also been cancelled.

Some local workers with the New York State Department of Transportation have packed their hard hats and reflective vests and headed south.  Ten employees and five plows from the region have been dispatched downstate to help with snow removal.
