Twin Tiers Report Icy Conditions for a Second Day

Motorists and pedestrians are being urged to use extreme caution as slippery conditions are reported not only in the higher elevations and on bridges but also on sidewalks.

No serious crashes have been reported in the morning hours but several schools in both Pennsylvania and New York phoned in delays due to the road conditions.

Road crews were called out in the early morning hours to salt problem areas.

There have been numerous calls for medical assistance both yesterday and this morning due to falls.

Temperatures are expected to be well above average as Winter Storm Luna loses grip in the region but a dip in the jet stream toward the weekend will drop temperatures again.
