As we honor the brave men and women who have served in the United States military this Veterans Day, the Twin Tiers Honor Flight would like to remind our community that they are on a mission to fulfill the dreams of our local veterans, both men, and women who served in every aspect of the military from battle, to support, and even in the  medical field. The way that the Twin Tiers Honor Flight honors our veterans is by escorting these heroes absolutely free to their war memorial (s) in Washington, D.C. and by giving them an unforgettable once in a lifetime experience.

Many local veterans haven’t heard of the Twin Tiers Honor Flight and in turn, they don’t realize that they’re eligible for a special Honor Flight trip, free of charge. You can help change that. If you know a veteran who hasn't ever seen their war memorial but who would like to and who would like to be part of an upcoming Twin Tiers Honor Flight, please have them fill out an online application or call 800-683-5403.

The Twin Tiers Honor Flight is also seeking individuals who would like to act as guardians on future trips. The guardian role is an important one as guardians are the personal escorts for our veterans. If you're interested in learning more about becoming a guardian, you'll find a guardian application here.
