New York State Police say an Onondaga County man has been arrested after they received a report of a pickup truck crashing through the gates of  Tinker Falls State Park off State Route 91 in Truxton in Cortland County Tuesday and driving on the hiking trail.

Authorities say Onondaga County Air One located the truck stuck in the mud about two and a half miles up the trail.

Troopers say 41 year old James Hobart of Tully refused to get out of his truck for authorities and struggled with officers.

State Police say they registered Hobart's blood alcohol level at .17%.

Hobart is charged with driving while intoxicated, criminal trespass, criminal mischief and resisting arrest.

He was sent to the Cortland County Jail $1,000 bail.

State Police from Homer and Lafayette as well as the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office, Onondaga County Air One, New York State Forest Rangers and the Truxton Fire Department were all involved in the case.
