Truck Hauling PVC Pipe Overturns In Vestal

Traffic on Vestal Road was snarled after a tractor-trailer loaded with polyvinyl chloride pipe overturned.

Vestal police say the crash at the on-ramp to Route 201 North happened around 2:45 Monday afternoon.

Sgt. Scott Bryant told WNBF News there were no injuries when the trailer portion of the truck wound up on its side.

Bryant said the truck had just left National Pipe and Plastics on Vestal Road.

Forklifts from National Pipe were called to the scene to transfer the PVC pipe cargo to another trailer to be hauled away from the scene.

Vestal Road near the Route 201 on-ramp was closed as crews loaded the pipes onto the second trailer.
