New York State Police say a Binghamton man is accused of trying to trick authorities by swapping places with a passenger in a vehicle they were pulling over on East Main Street.

Troopers say they saw 47 year old Christopher Wignall driving the car at 11:52 a.m. October 19 and knew he didn’t have a valid license.  Authorities say they also found he had Vicodin (Hydrocodone Bitartrate) in his possession.

Wignall is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle.

He’s been ordered to appear in Town of Union Court.
