Town of Union Man is Found Dead

ARTHUR GEHR [Broome County Sheriff's Office photo][/caption]A Town of Union man has been found dead in Delaware County almost a week after anyone had heard from him.

Broome County Sheriff’s officials say the body of 61 year old Arthur Gehr was found by searchers in the area of Zion Hill Road and Route 8 near Steam Mill State Forest in Masonville.

The Fairmont Park man, who had been said to suffered from medical issues and depression, spoke to his employer on June 5 and was reported missing June 7.

Authorities say there were no signs of foul play but the cause of Gehr’s death has not been released.

Authorities say the investigation is considered closed.
