Town of Union officials say they want the owners of a building on North Page Avenue to get off the dime and either fix up the property or demolish the former Endicott Johnson warehouse.

The Town Board has unanimously voted in a timeline for the owner to address safety issues with the property.

Officials say a fence has to be up by March 10th.  The first floor doors and windows must be secured by April 15th with the remaining doors and windows secured, the roof replaced, steel beams brought up to code and new flooring put in by June 30th.

The owners could opt to just tear the West Endicott building down by June 30th.

The town wants a $300,000 cash payment or $600,000 bond to make sure it’s done.

If the owners don’t make the deadline, the building will be torn down.

In addition, Town of Union officials say they want to be reimbursed for all the money the town has spent at the property by April 3rd.

The owners are being given 30 days to tell the town if they are going to fix the property or opt to demolish.
