Town of Preston Man Accused in Home Invasion Assault

A Chenango County man is accused of breaking into a home and assaulting two people.

Sheriff’s Deputies say 43 year old Christopher Turner of Preston is accused of using a dangerous instrument and violently attacking the victims, one of whom had an order of protection against him.

Four children in the home also had orders of protection against Turner.

The two victims were treated at local hospitals.

Turner is charged with two counts of assault, burglary, aggravated criminal contempt, criminal contempt, criminal possession of a weapon, criminal mischief and endangering the welfare of a child.

Turner was sent to the Chenango County Jail on $100,000 bail.

Turner was taken into custody April 12 and sent to the Chenango County Jail.
