The New York State Department of Transportation has scheduled two open house meetings will be to talk about extending sound barriers along Soden Street in the Town of Dickinson in Prospect Terrace.

The first meeting was scheduled for November 5 at 6:30 p.m. at Thodore Roosevelt School.

Another open house is scheduled for November 6 at 6:30 p.m. at the Woodrow Wilson Elementary School.

Town Supervisor Michael Marinaccio says Dickinson asked the New York State Department of Transportation 18 years ago to build noise barriers along Route 17/Interstate 86 and Soden Street.

Representatives of the DOT are available to discuss the project.
