The Broome County chapter of High School Democrats of America are holding a town hall meeting April 7 to discuss gun regulation and school safety.

The Town Hall for Our Lives follows the March for Our Lives that took place in March around the country, including in Binghamton, in reaction to recent school shootings like the deadly Parkland, Florida killings on Valentine’s Day.

The town hall event takes place at the United Presbyterian Church on Chenango Street in Binghamton from 2 to 4 p.m.

Organizers said the town hall is to be an open discussion between elected officials and representatives on gun reform.
