Towanda Hospital Affiliates With Guthrie

Towanda Memorial Hospital is getting a new name with a new affiliation.

April 1, officials with Guthrie Clinic and Towanda Memorial announced the new affiliation and the renaming of the Bradford County medical facility to the Guthrie Towanda Memorial Hospital, which will feature additional services.

Board Chairman John Schoonover says the Bradford County community will be able to access more integrated care in the Guthrie network.

Officials say small community hospitals have been finding it harder to remain independent, leading many, like Towanda Memorial to connect with larger health systems.

The new president of Guthrie Towanda Memorial Hospital is William Rohrbach.
