The 55th Annual Columbus Day Mirabito Tournament of Bands Parade and Italain Festival were held in Binghamton today.  Several hundred spectators lined Main and Court Streets to take-in the music, marching bands and other parade participants.

The parade began near the intersection of Arthur and Main Streets and continued to Collier Street.  Water Street was blocked off near Boscov's for the Italian Festival following the parade.  Visitors could enjoy pizza and other Italian treats as well as listen to the music of one of the area's  favorite groups...Splash".

Seven area bands performed in the parade which took a little over an hour to complete.  Marching bands from:  Union-Endicott, Vestal, Johnson City, Deposit, Whitney Point, Northeast Bradford and Williamson all marched in the parade and each received trophies for their participation.
