National Weather Service officials confirm it was an EF1 strength tornado that brought down trees, ripped roofs off of structures and caused other damage in the Northern Tier of Pennsylvania Wednesday evening, February 24.

The damage was reported in Bradford County in an area north of Wyalusing, ripping up a 300-foot wide path for about a mile.

Winds were put at close to 100 mph.

While several residents said they had been outside seconds before the storm hit, there were no injuries reported.

The cleanup was expected to take several days.
