26 of the top 30 money-winners on the Champions Tour this year have committed to play in the Dick's Sporting Goods Open set for August 24 - 30 at En Joie Golf Club in Endicott.At a press briefing Tournament Director John Karedes said he expects to get a number of other top earners to commit over the next 75 days.

Defending Champion Bernhard Langer announced that he is coming back to defend his title.  Langer, who won the Charles Schwab Cup last year, has one second place finish and five Top-10 finishes so far this year.  The 2002 World Golf Hall of Fame Inductee and two-time Masters Champion looks to become the first to capture back-to-back Dick's Open titles.

Other top Champions Tour commitments came from Davis Love III, Ian Woosnam, Mark O'Meara and Kenny Perry.  Kevin Sutherland has committed to return to the Dick's Open.  His second-round score of 59 last August set a Champion's Tour single round record.  John Cook has also said that he is returning.  Cook was the co-leader after the first round at En Joie last year.

Festivities for the Dick's Open begin on Monday August 24th and continue through the week.  Round one play begins on Friday, August 28th with the final round set for Sunday, August 30th.
