Tioga Teen Accused of Choking Girlfriend

A 17-year-old town of Tioga boy was arrested following a domestic dispute.

Authorities say the youth was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing after he allegedly grabbed his girlfriend around her neck with both hands.

The incident happened in a residence on Glenmary Drive.

According to the Tioga County Sheriff's Office, the boy was arraigned in Tioga town court. He was ordered held on $1,000 bail.

The youth was ordered to return to court on May 13.
