Tioga Man Jailed After Stolen Prescription Investigation

A 23-year-old Newark Valley man was arrested in connection with a stolen prescription.

Authorities say Steve Gilbert of State Route 38 was charged with criminal possession of stolen property and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

According to the Tioga County Sheriff's Office, the case involved a theft at Brookside Trailer Park in the town of Newark Valley.

Gilbert was arraigned in Newark Valley town court. He was sent to Tioga County Jail on $2,000 bail.
