Tioga Man Charged After Car Hits Woman

A Candor man was arrested after a woman was struck by a vehicle in Tioga County.

According to the sheriff's office, 22-year-old Lucas Corwin of Owego Street was charged with leaving the scene of a pedestrian motor vehicle accident.

Investigators say Corwin also was charged with unsafe backing.

Police say Corwin is alleged to have been operating a car that hit 46-year-old Kim Murray.

Corwin is said to have sped up while driving in reverse. Murray then was reportedly struck by an open passenger-side door.

Investigators say Murray sustained head, leg and back injuries. She was transported by Candor EMS for evaluation.
