The society is offering new exhibits at its museum on Front Street in Owego. The exhibits highlight important events in Tioga County's history.

The historical society was incorporated on July 8, 1914.

A new Civil War exhibit at the museum features artifacts that have not been on display in years.

As part of its centennial celebration, the museum will have three reproduction rooms. They include a bedroom, a general store and a one-room schoolhouse from the era when the society was founded.

The museum is open Wednesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There's more information at the Tioga County Historical Society website.
