Tioga Downs Cashes In With New Casino

Tioga Downs is reporting some pretty good profits for its first week of operating a full-service casino.

The Nichols casino is the first of four granted licenses in New York State to open its doors.  The other facilities are under construction.

New York State reports Tioga Downs had pre-tax gambling revenues of $827,539.

Gamers plugged more than $9 million into the new casino’s slot machines and at the table games and poker in just a few days from the grand opening.
