Tioga County Worker Dies After Reported Accident

Authorities are investigating the death of a Tioga County employee who reportedly was struck by a vehicle at a communications tower site.

The incident happened Wednesday as maintenance work was being done at an emergency radio tower site on Carmichael Road in the Town of Owego.

The person who apparently was hit by the vehicle was taken to Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City.

The Tioga County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident.
