Tioga County, NY Soldier Killed in Afghanistan

A soldier from Tioga County, New York has been killed in what is being described as a non-combat related incident.

The Department of Defense is investigating the death of 25 year old Justin Rogers of Barton.

Authorities say Rogers died June 28th while serving in Bagram, Afghanistan.

Rogers had a wife and daughter. He was assigned to the 101st Airborne Division headquartered at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
