Tioga County Murder Trial Deliberations Begin

A Tioga County jury is considering the fate of a Town of Tioga man accused of stabbing his roommate to death during a dispute in October of last year.

61 year old Douglas Every has claimed he killed 39 year old Milton Jump in self defense.

Closing arguments in the case were made yesterday afternoon.

Every called 911 on October 23^rd, 2013 to report the stabbing.

He was found outside the home he and Jump shared and Jump was found dead in the kitchen.

In addition to murder and manslaughter, Every is charged with evidence tampering.

He’s accused of washing the knife to try to cover up the crime.

If convicted on the counts, Every could face 25 years to life in prison.
