Tioga County Man Charged with Assault

A Richford man was arrested after a reported dispute in the town of Owego.

Authorities say 32-year-old Ricky Canfield has been charged with third-degree assault.

According to the Tioga County Sheriff's Office, Canfield was accused of causing facial injuries to another man in a September 23rd incident.

Investigators say the dispute happened on Gage Road in the town of Owego.

Canfield was arrested last Wednesday night.  He's been ordered to appear in Owego town court October 9th.
