A town of Owego resident was arrested following a hit-and-run crash in Tioga County.

Authorities say 45-year-old Gerald Gaylord of Cornell Hollow Road became combative with a sheriff's deputy after a damaged vehicle was located.

Gaylord was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated unlicensed operation and operating without an interlock device. He also faces counts of resisting arrest and obstruction of governmental administration.

Gaylord was arraigned in Owego town court. He was sent to Tioga County Jail on $5,000 bail.

Gaylord was ordered to reappear in court on April 30.
