Tioga County Fire Claims One Life

Tioga County resident is dead after fire destroyed a home on West Creek Road in Richfield just before 12:30 p.m. January 7. 

All five residents of the manufactured home were at the structure at the time of the blaze. 

Officials say the father of the family sustained burns to his hands in his attempts to get other members of the family out of the structure. 

The name of the person who died in the fire has not been released and the cause of the blaze is under investigation.
