The Tioga County Fair gets underway Tuesday and continues through Saturday at Marvin Park in Owego.

The Fair opens with the 4-H Food Booth at the 4-H Youth Building at 8:00 AM.  At 10:00 AM the 4-H Poultry Show gets underway in the Cattle Barn. It's Kids Day and exhibits continue throughout the day.  The New York Sire Stakes will run at 1:00 PM.  Fireworks will go off at dusk.

Wednesday evening the Demolition Derby/Power Wheels competition will be held beginning at 7:00 PM.  On Thursday the Little Mister and Little Miss Tioga County Fair Pageant will be held at 5:30 PM.  At 7:00 PM thrill driver Tim Chitwood performs his dare devil driving skills carrying on the legend of his father Joie Chitwood.  The younger Chitwood joined Fair Board member Jim Mead and his son James on Binghamton Now on News Radio 1290 WNBF July 6.

There will be local bands playing every night on the Vic Hooker Stage.  General Admission to the fairgrounds is $5 daily with an all-day unlimited ride pass priced at $10.  Grand Stand admission is $5 with children five and under getting free admission to the fair and grandstand.
