Investigators say sheriff's deputies were sent to a Town of Nichols residence after a 911 call reported two bodies would be found at the home.

When deputies arrived at the house at 2359 West River Road, they discovered the bodies of Leon and Debra Rogers.

According to the sheriff's office, the husband and wife were both 60 years old.

Following a post-mortem exam at Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton, investigators say they concluded Leon Rogers placed the phone call notifying authorities either before or after shooting his wife. They say he then is believed to have shot himself.
