The first floor of the building has been used for banking services in the past. Tioga State Bank acquired the property from First Niagara Bank about two years ago.

Work on the renovation job started last November. All three floors of the structure were gutted for the project.

A lot north of the building will provide parking for bank employees and customers, as well as for residents of the apartments.

The renovation work is nearing completion and the bank office is scheduled to open in late September. An automatic teller machine at the site has been operational for several weeks.
