The Trenton Thunder held the Binghamton Mets to one run on three hits and rolled to a 6-1 victory tonight at NYSEG Stadium.  It's the second loss in a row against the Thunder for the B-Mets.

The B-Mets scored their only run of the game in the first inning when T.J.Rivera singled in Brandon Nimmo to give Binghamton its only lead of the night. The Thunder, the New York Yankees affiliate, scored three runs against starter Matt Bowman to make it 3-1 in the second inning.

With the loss Bowman drops to 6-6 this season.  Trenton starter Luis Severino got his first win of the season after pitching five innings.

The loss puts Binghamton's record at 59-40 and leaves them 4.5 games out of first place behind the Portland Sea Dogs in the Eastern Division.  The two teams finish the series tomorrow with a 1:05 game at NYSEG Stadium.  Airtime is 12:50 following the Barb Mack Show on News Radio 1290 WNBF.
