The Trenton Thunder blasted the Binghamton Mets 9-2 today in a Memorial Day afternoon game at NYSEG Stadium. With the win the Thunder took three games of the four-game series and sent Binghamton to its third straight defeat.

The B-Mets got off to a good start and were up 2-0 after the first inning. But the Thunder battled back and went up 3-2 in the third inning.  Rainy Lara started and took the loss on the mound for Binghamton.  Lara falls to 2-6 this season.

Victor Cruzado and Phillip Evans each had a pair of hits for the B-Mets.  Binghamton continues to struggle in the month of May.  The B-Mets are 8-21 this month.

Binghamton hits the road for six consecutive games.  The B-Mets travel to Erie for three games starting Tuesday night and then travel to Altoona for three more contests.
