Three Tioga County residents are facing felony charges in Cortland County.

Cortland County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a home invasion at a residence on Route 11 in the Town of Marathon on Halloween night.

The caretaker of the property, who was assisting the residents of the home, said two people entered the house, punched her and took a safe containing money.

Following up on leads, Investigators November 20 arrested 19 year old Ian Burke of Spencer, 18 year old Jennifer Kelly of Spencer and 24 year old Gage Hatch of VanEtten.

All three are charged with felony counts of burglary, grand larceny and conspiracy.

Authorities say they found the safe in a creek in the Town of Candor the same day as the arrests.

Burke and Kelly were jailed on $10,000 bail while Hatch was sent to the Cortland County Jail on $2,500 bail.

Officials say the investigation is continuing and additional arrests are pending.
