New York State Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash in Chenango County that left the drivers of both vehicles dead.

Officials say at 1:42 a.m. August 4, a Ford Focus crossed into the oncoming lane of County Route 35 in Oxford, into the pat of a west-bound mini van.

The driver of the van, 48 year old David Clark of Oxford, died at Chenango Memorial Hospital. The driver of the Ford Focus was pronounced dead at the scene. That person’s name has not been released.

A passenger in the car and six passengers in the van were taken to area hospitals for treatment of injuries suffered in the crash.

State police are also investigating a single-vehicle crash in Delaware County that left the motorist dead.

Investigators say 52 year old Gerard Kamp of Deposit was killed when he failed to negotiate a sharp curve on Airport Road in Deposit at around 6 a.m. August 3 and crashed into a tree.

Kamp was pronounced dead at the scene.
