Broome County Sheriff’s officials are investigating the death of an Endicott man due to an apparent heroin overdose in a Town of Dickinson motel room.

Authorities say they were called to the motel on Old Front Street November 4 for a medical issue and found 30 year old Brett Seymour unresponsive and not breathing.  Administration of an overdose-reversal drug was not effective.

32 year old Rayshawn Thompson of Binghamton, 31 year old Nichole Mills of Windsor and 22 year old Tessa Riveras of Elmira are charged with 7 counts each of criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts each of possession of crack cocaine, two counts each of possession of powder cocaine, two counts each of possession of powder heroin and possession of 304 bags of heroin.

Authorities say the person calling authorities said they heard someone in a neighboring room saying “he’s not breathing.” But no one in the room itself called 911 or attempted to report the incident.

The investigation is continuing and anyone with information can contact authorities at (607) 778-1196.
