Delaware County Sheriff’s officials say they have three people in custody as a result of a narcotics traffic investigation conducted along with the Village of Sidney Police.

Thursday, authorities arrested 22 year old Harry Ramirez, also known as “J.R.” or “Junior” of Sidney and the Bronx after he reportedly forcibly stole money from a cooperating witness.

Police say Ramirez was found to have some heroin in his possession that they believe he planned to sell.

A search of his home on Division Street in Sidney found tenants, 44 year old Dawn Beta and 29 year old Jasmine Santiago of Valley Stream, in possession of heroin that they tried to flush.

More heroin was found inside the apartment with the help of Sheriff K-9 Ozzie.

Ramirez is charged with two felony counts of criminal possession of a substance with intent to sell and one felony charge of robbery.

Beta and Santiago are charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell and tampering with evidence.  Both charges are felonies.

Authorities say they also found a liquid PCP, hypodermic instruments and more than one thousand dollars.

Ramirez was sent to the Delaware County Jail on $350,000 bail while Beta and Santiago were jailed on $250,000 bail.
