Thousands of dollars worth of scrap metal and truck parts were stolen over a period of several months from a Tioga County construction services business.

An owner of R.B. Robinson Contracting in Candor says as many as four people were believed to be involved in the ongoing thefts.

The Tioga County Sheriff's Office reports a 33-year-old Brooktondale man, William Park, faces fourteen charges for stealing from the business. Park has been charged with seven counts of petit larceny and seven counts of trespass.

Brad Robinson, an owner of the business on Ithaca Road, told WNBF News most of the incidents occurred last year. The most recent incident believed to be linked to the ring of thieves occurred in early January.

Robinson said the thieves targeted the business "over and over and over." He said they removed the back seat from a Chevrolet Impala to haul away the stuff they stole.

They didn't even take a break for holidays. Robinson said they stole items on Christmas and New Year's night.

Robinson said surveillance cameras helped in the effort to track down those responsible.
