The Twin Tiers Again Get Several Inches of Snow

Broome County and many points to the east, southeast and northeast are projected to get quite a bit more snow than even areas just a few miles away in Tioga County in New York and Bradford County in Pennsylvania.

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for Broome, Chenango, Delaware, Susquehanna and Wayne counties with a possible accumulation of up to a foot of snow by tomorrow morning. Tioga is under a Winter Weather Advisory with accumulations of four to six inches forecast.

The National Weather Service says the heaviest snow is expected this afternoon and tonight.

The changing weather conditions are expected to make for tricky driving during commute times.

Some schools that opted to close this morning said they felt they could probably get students to the school this morning but officials say they didn’t want to face the possibility of the students spending the night in the gym.
