The Forks Advance

The Chenango Forks Blue Devils move on to the state finals following the New York State Public High School Athletic Association semi-final game at Cicero - North Syracuse.  The Blue Devils beat previously undefeated Bath 44-22 for the right to advance to the title game next weekend in the Carrier Dome.

Chenango Forks carried a record of 10-1 into the November 21st game.  The only setback was on opening weekend when they dropped a 28-21 decision to Maine-Endwell at Blue Devils Stadium.

November 20 in other semi-final action Maine-Endwell's state record 62 game winning string came to an end with a 43-26 defeat at the hands of South Park out of the Buffalo area in a Class A battle.  In a Class D duel Tioga advanced by defeating Bishop Kearney 38-36.
