In what was expected to be a close, defense-oriented battle between two defending state champions Chenango Forks clobbered Tioga 55-12.  Recent games between the two section 4 powers have generally been low scoring and close til the end.  Not this time. The Blue Devils won the opening coin toss and deferred til the second half.  That enabled Tioga to get the ball first.  Forks defense held the Tigers in check on their first possession and scored on a 45-yard punt return by Seth Bush.  From there the Blue Devils never looked back.

Bush scored his second touchdown on a 71 yard run in the third quarter.  The Forks spread things around nicely.  L.J. Watson scored on a pair of long runs and Tim McDonald notched another pair of TD's to lead Chenango Forks to the win.  Tioga is the state's defending Class D champion while the Blue Devils are the reigning Class C champs.  This year though they have moved up in enrollment to Class B competition.
