The new Community Engagement Coordinator for the Food Bank of the Southern Tier, Randi Lynn Quackenbush makes her first radio appearance on local public affairs program, Southern Tier Close Up February 8.

In addition to helping to provide food for soup kitchens, pantries , shelters and other hunger abatement programs in 6 counties through the Southern Tier, Quackenbush says the agency has an extensive educational program as well. That division educates young people about the problem of hunger, which sometimes remains hidden.

Volunteers are currently being sought for the Hunger Education programming, including lessons and activities from the Food Bank's Hunger 101 curriculum, Hunger Scholars and Change Makers programs.
