The Binghamton Bearcats travel to Albany to meet the long-time rival Great Danes tonight in a Dr. Martin Luther King Holiday match-up.  Game-time is 7 PM with air at 6:45 on News Radio 1290 WNBF.  The road game at SEFCU Arena did not figure to be an easy one at the start of the season but it definitely looks like an uphill battle now.

Binghamton will be without its leading scorer and top rebounder.  Jordan Reed did not accompany the team when it departed for Albany.  According to Bearcats' Head Coach Tommy Dempsey the move is a "coach's decision".  Reed has not violated any team or school rules and is not injured.  A preseason All-Conference selection, Reed leads Binghamton in scoring averaging 14.9 points per game.  He also paces the team in rebounds with 8.5 per game.  Reed played only nine minutes against Stony Brook and did not play at all in the second half.s

BU will also be missing freshman forward Magnus Richards.  Richards' grandfather passed away and he is home with his family.  Richards is averaging 4.5 rebounds per game and 3.6 points per outing.

Albany is coming off a victory in Maine on Saturday as the Great Danes topped the Black Bears 85-78.  Albany is led in scoring by Peter Hooley at 15.4 points per game and Sam Rowley averaging 12.1 points per contest.  The Great Danes are 3-2 in the America East while the Bearcats are 1-3.
