Tenney, Myers, Babinec, Teachout and Faso Race for Congress

The Candidates are set for the races for Congressional Districts representing the Southern Tier.

Following the Republican Primary June 28, Claudia Tenney is the Choice over George Phillips and Steven Wells to face Democrat Kim Myers and Independent Martin Babinec for the 22nd District.

John Faso has defeated Andrew Heaney on the Republican side for the 19th district and will face Zephyr Teachout, who handily defeated Will Yandik in the Democrat's primary.

The 22nd District seemed to be a choice prize after Republican Congressman Richard Hanna said he was not going to run for another term.

The 22nd District encompasses all of Chenango, Cortland, Madison and Oneida Counties as well as portions of Broome, Tioga, Oswego and Herkimer Counties.
