Last night over 20 of the area's most talented high school musicians performed in the Teen Jazz Project at the Schorr Family Firehouse Stage in Johnson City.  Students from various high schools around the area tryout for positions with the Project.  Vocalists along with a rhythm section, saxophones, trumpets, guitars and trombones all were featured during a close to two hour performance.

Tony Alduino is Co-Director of the Project.  The concert was part of the month of April's Jazz Appreciation Month that is being celebrated by the Schorr Family Firehouse with the All That Jazz Series.

The Schorr Family Firehouse Stage is located at 67 Broad Street in Johnson City in the former Municipal Building Fire Station.  The venue hosts dozens of events yearly including twice monthly Jazz Jams, a Cabaret Concert Series and numerous workshops and educational programs.
