A 17 year old is accused of causing thousands of dollars worth of damage to a cemetery, school playground and two Waverly parks July 27-28.

Officials in Tioga County had initially reported damage to the East Waverly Park pavilion and the Muldoon Park gazebo.  Waverly Police now say the boy is believed to be responsible for vandalism at the Forrest Home Cemetery and the Elm Street School playground.

The teen is charged with burglary, larceny and criminal mischief.  The boy was sent to the Tioga County Jail.

The authorities have not released the teen’s name.
