Teen Accused of Threatening Girlfriend with Knife in Front of a Child

A Glen Aubrey teen is charged with menacing and endangering the welfare of a child for allegedly threatening his girlfriend with a kitchen knife in front of a young child.

Broome County Sheriff’s officials say 19 year old Walter Yates III was arrested at 1:44 a.m. February 5 after deputies responded to a report of a dispute at a home on Route 26 in the Town of Nanticoke.

Just after the initial altercation, family member 28 year old Michael Fineout reportedly attacked Yates. He’s charged with harassment.

Yates was sent to the Broome County Jail while Fineout was issued a ticket to appear in Town of Nanticoke Court at a later date.
