Teacher Rape Trial Date Set

A former teacher in Delaware County will be going on trial in August on two counts of rape and four counts of criminal sexual act for allegedly having sex with students.

29 year old Stephanie Fletcher, who had been a teacher in Walton, has pleaded not guilty in Delaware County Court.

She has been accused of having sex with two boys under the age of 17 between January and March of 2012.

An original indictment handed down in February was tossed out since the court did not receive a written statement from one of the alleged victims who said he had been of the legal consent age of 17 at the time of the reported incident.

Fletcher was formally indicted on the felony charges earlier this month.

The trial date is set for August 4^th.
