All village of Johnson City offices will be closed on Friday to enable employees to attend the funeral of Police Officer David Smith.

Offices in the municipal building at 243 Main Street will be closed for the day, as will the village court at 31 Avenue C

The funeral arrangements for Johnson City police officer David Smith have been finalized.

Smith, who was 43, died shortly after he was shot on Harrison Street Monday morning.
