Universal Lays Off 19 People At Conklin Site

Universal Instruments has reduced its Broome County workforce.

The company, which makes equipment for electronics manufacturers, laid off 19 people from its Conklin facility.

Human resources director John DeSousa says this is the first local workforce adjustment since 2009
