Sydney Harbaugh Named America East Softball Player of the Week

Binghamton Bearcat junior outfielder Sydney Harbaugh has been named the America East Player of the Week for her standout play last weekend.  Harbaugh led her team to four wins last weekend.  The Bearcats took two games from Manhattan and two more from Rider to up their record to 8-6.Harbaugh was on fire batting .643 at the Myrtle Beach Tournament where the four straight wins occurred.  She went 9-14 at the plate with a pair of home runs and five runs batted in plus a .706 on -base percentage.

On the season Harbaugh is hitting .400 with three home runs and 14 runs batted in for BU.  It is the second time the defending America East Player of the year has earned the Player of the Week Award in her career.

Harbaugh, from Cicero, NY leads her team into this weekend's action with five games scheduled at the North Carolina State Tournament.
