A Binghamton Police SWAT Team was called out early Thanksgiving morning after police responded to an alarm with an apparent burglary in progress.  Police tell WNBF News that they encountered a suspect either in or leaving a building at 253 Robinson Street in Binghamton.

The suspect barricaded himself inside the building and refused to come out.  A SWAT Team responded to the scene.  Police say a standoff ensued.  Eventually, the suspect surrendered.

No shots were fired and no injuries were reported.  The identity of the suspect has not been released.  Charges in the incident had not been released.
